ALL-STAR WEEKEND PUTS STRAIN ON PREMIUM HOTELS

Las Vegas Prepares For The Biggest Weekend Of The Year

LAS VEGAS, Nov. 7 - The NBA All-Star game, widely renowned as one of the most extravagant sporting events in the world, will fittingly make Las Vegas its home in 2007. The All Star Game weekend festivities begin February 16th and culminate on the 18th with the All-Star Game. This bustling weekend coincides with President's Day weekend and the Chinese New Year, both of which are traditional Vegas hot beds, along with the Magic Convention, a display of the years upcoming fashion lines. The end result is that Las Vegas hotel room prices are skyrocketing and continuing to rise. Jeff Smith, president of Las Vegas Golf Adventures, has opened a new site at www.nbaallstarsweekend.com that offers room reservations at MGM grand, along with further information on the weekend's events.

On an average weekend Las Vegas sees approximately 150,000 visitors a weekend. However, the expected numbers for the NBA All Star Game, Chinese New Year and President's Day are triple a normal weekend. "Think New Years, times two," Smith, a twelve year veteran of the Las Vegas travel and golf industry, explains. "We have been monitoring the rates at hotels in Las Vegas since the announcement and they just continue to rise." Las Vegas has plenty of room to handle the crowds, but at what cost? The advice of the experts is to cement your booking now because prices rise exponentially as the event draws near. "A lot of the premium hotels in Las Vegas are already sold out, but there are room blocks that were reserved specially for the NBA All Star weekend and they are available online." In order to avoid booking hassles and oversold hotels, www.nbaallstarsweekend.com will allow you to reserve hotel rooms online for premium Las Vegas hotels during the All-Star weekend. "We have rooms available at hotels that are already sold out for the weekend, including cheaper rates than those found at hotels which are currently available."

The NBA All-Star festivities begin on Saturday, February 17th, and the game is set for Sunday. Numerous parties and concerts, including the Celebrity Playas Ball, have been scheduled to give the hundreds of thousands attending a once in a lifetime opportunity to experience Las Vegas at its best.
